Softball Recap: Bixby Comes Up Short

Bixby lost against Coweta on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-6. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kenzie Howard made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Heidi Gruenwald, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Bixby now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Coweta, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Bixby will take on Sequoyah at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Coweta, they will be playing at home against Edmond North at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
