Soccer Recap: Downtown Magnets Comes Up Short

Downtown Magnets and USC-MAE squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Downtown Magnets had to settle for second. They fell just short of the USC-MAE Trojans by a score of 3-2. The Suns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Jacqueline Gallardo and Scarleth Orellana scored both of Downtown Magnets' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 45 goals.

Downtown Magnets' defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for USC-MAE, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.

Downtown Magnets does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for USC-MAE, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against ESAT on the 24th.
