Baseball Recap: Fairfield Beats Warsaw for Their Third Straight Win

Fairfield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Warsaw Tigers. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Fairfield let Drew Beachy and Grady Chupp run wild. Beachy went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Chupp went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Landon Beasy also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Warsaw, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Looking ahead, Fairfield will head out on the road to square off against South Bend Riley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Warsaw, they will be playing at home against Concord at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Minutemen's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
