Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Yankees vs. Redondo Union Sea Hawks

The Hamilton Yankees will take on the Redondo Union Sea Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Redondo Union likes a good challenge.

Hamilton will bounce into Monday's game after beating Westchester, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Hamilton snuck past Westchester with a 63-57 victory on Friday.

Hamilton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jade Fort, who went 9 for 16 on her way to 26 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Fort has scored at least a third of Hamilton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Lemons, who went 6 of 9 en route to 13 points and seven boards.

Hamilton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 16 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Redondo Union was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past West 64-37. That's two games straight that the Sea Hawks have won by exactly 27 points.

The win made it two in a row for Redondo Union and bumps their season record up to 14-10. As for Hamilton, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1.
