Davenport had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Bristow Pirates. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Pirates two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Davenport's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Bristow, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Coming up, Davenport will challenge Depew at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bristow, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Perkins-Tryon at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
