Basketball Recap: Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Victorious

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer won the last time they faced Exeter-Milligan/Friend and things went their way on Thursday too. The Titans came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 41-33. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer had a senior duo take command as Lillian Bowen posted 18 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals and Elie Bstandig dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 boards. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Bowen. Another player making a difference was Maddie Bredemeier, who put up four points and four steals.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Exeter-Milligan/Friend still got an impressive performance from Kendall Filipi, who had 12 points and five rebounds. Chezney Kanode also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-44 loss against Southern on the 19th. Exeter-Milligan/Friend has also already played their next matchup (against Sandy Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
