Basketball Recap: River City's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but River City ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 62-57 W over the Wood Wildcats. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Wood still got an impressive performance from Amiyah Murry, who posted 22 points along with seven boards and four blocks. That was a full 38.6% of Wood's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikyah Dixon, who put up eight points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

River City's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-13. As for Wood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.
