Football Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion lost against Moundridge back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The contest between the Warriors and the Wildcats didn't end well, with the Warriors falling 28-12. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Paul Grill was a one-man wrecking crew For Moundridge. as he rushed for 210 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Those 210 rushing yards gave Grill a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for Marion and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Moundridge, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marion will face off against rival Remington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Moundridge is set to take on their familiar foe Sedgwick on Friday.
