Basketball Recap: Turlock Christian Triumphs

Turlock Christian won the last time they faced Waterford and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 win over the Wildcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Christiana Eivaz had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards. Those 24 points gave her a new career-high. Payslie Porter was another key player, putting up no points along with 14 rebounds and four blocks.

The victory got Turlock Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Waterford, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Turlock Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-39 win against Riverdale on the 5th. As for Waterford, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Millennium at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
