Baseball Game Preview: Norcross Blue Devils vs. Centennial Knights + Official Tickets

The Norcross Blue Devils will take on the Centennial Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Norcross was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Duluth on Friday. The Blue Devils' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 9-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Centennial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Spartans 8-1.

Centennial got a great performance from Diego Crespo as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Crespo has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jake Hickox and Kayden Cheng did most of the damage at the plate: Hickox went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Cheng went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Hickox a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brenden Vo, who earned one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Norcross, their victory bumped their record up to 18-10.
