Basketball Recap: La Sierra Academy Comes Up Short

La Sierra Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs, falling 49-28. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1217th, while the Cubs are ranked 504th).

La Sierra Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Sierra Academy has already played their next game (against Sherman Indian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. California School for the Deaf-Riverside will square off against California Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
