Softball Recap: Brookstone Comes Up Short

Brookstone lost against Westfield School two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Hornets, falling 10-3. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brookstone saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Carter Fort, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Brookstone's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Westfield School, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-6.

Looking ahead, Brookstone will venture away from home to take on Shaw at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Westfield School, they will host Calvary Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
