The Hoggard Vikings will square off against the Salem Sundevils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hoggard came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-2 to D.H. Conley. Hoggard's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hoggard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Bush, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Another was Lucas Mathews, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Salem's offense. They came up short against Providence Grove on Monday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Sundevils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Salem now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hoggard, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
