Volleyball Recap: Vanden Comes Up Short

Vanden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heritage Patriots. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2015.

Megan King was the offensive standout of the match as she had three digs and three aces. Rhianna Rambano also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Vanden's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Vanden has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Carondelet on the 18th. As for Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Nevada Union on the 18th.
