Softball Recap: Mundy's Mill Comes Up Short

If Mundy's Mill was riding high fresh off their 16-7 takedown of Carver on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Rockdale County Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 13-1. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Mundy's Mill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maliah Montano, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Montano has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Mundy's Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Rockdale County, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18.

Looking ahead, Mundy's Mill will head out on the road to square off against Miller Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Rockdale County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
