Football Recap: Bishop Mcdevitt Piles Up the Points Against Central Dauphin + How To Watch

Bishop McDevitt had won three straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 6-2 to make it four. They breezed past the Central Dauphin Rams to the tune of 48-21. Considering the Crusaders have won six games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Nazir Jones-Davis produced another solid effort rushing for 91 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Ishmael Palmer was another key player, picking up 125 receiving yards and one score.

Bishop McDevitt's defense stepped up as well, laying out Connor Ellestad four times. Zach Brown was especially locked on to Central Dauphin's QB and sacked him three times.

As for Central Dauphin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Bishop McDevitt is ranked 23rd).

Central Dauphin's loss came despite strong showings from Peyton Wylie and Jadyn Johnson. Wylie rushed for 62 yards and a pair of TDs, while Johnson rushed for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bishop McDevitt will square off against Central Dauphin East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Dauphin, they will challenge Harrisburg at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams' defense better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 40.4 points per game this season.
