Palmyra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 19-9 to the Canton Tigers. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Panthers' highest-scoring game to date.

Palmyra's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Canton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmyra will host Centralia at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canton, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Paris at 5:00 p.m.
