Baseball Recap: Turner County Comes Up Short

Turner County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 16-6 to the Clinch County Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-4 loss on Friday.

Peyton Whiddon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Devin Brooks, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Turner County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-25. As for Clinch County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-15.

Turner County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clinch County, they will challenge Lake Oconee Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
