North Gwinnett extended their winning streak to nine on Wednesday, bumping them up to 21-2. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cherokee Bluff Bears. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

As for Cherokee Bluff, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Cherokee Bluff's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mac Warren, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

North Gwinnett and Cherokee Bluff should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked tenth) will meet Peachtree Ridge (ranked 249th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
