Softball Recap: Milton Find Success

Milton was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Chamblee Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly four runs.

Annabel Scott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Reese Rountree, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Ellison Rucker, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Milton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matchups.

Milton's record is now 15-10. As for Chamblee, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-15.

Milton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chamblee, they will welcome Midtown at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
