Basketball Game Preview: River City Raiders vs. Wood Wildcats

River City is on a six-game streak of home losses, Wood a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The River City Raiders will host the Wood Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, River City came up short against Vacaville and fell 50-40.

Meanwhile, Wood fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Vacaville on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Bulldogs 46-41. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 6-2 in the first quarter.

Wood's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for River City, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

River City was able to grind out a solid victory over Wood when the teams last played on January 2nd, winning 46-33. Will River City repeat their success, or does Wood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
