Cherokee Bluff gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out the Seckinger Jaguars 9-8. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

The win made it two in a row for Cherokee Bluff and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Seckinger, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Cherokee Bluff will welcome Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Seckinger, they will face off against Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
