Softball Recap: Baxter Comes Up Short

Baxter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Moravia Mohawks, falling 12-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Baxter of the 15-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Baxter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Moravia, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-19.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baxter will venture away from home to square off against North Tama at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Moravia, they will head out to challenge Southeast Warren at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warhawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Mohawks surely won't give up without a fight.
