Frontier had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They walked away with a 69-56 victory over the Redwood Rangers. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Rangers are ranked 335th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Frontier got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rizelle Copeland out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Copeland has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last six times she's played. Nyeema Armstrong was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten steals.

Frontier smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive games dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Redwood lost, don't look at Jordan Powell. Despite the final result, she went 10-for-14 en route to 25 points along with eight boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ahriel Madden, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

Frontier's record now sits at 11-2. As for Redwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Frontier has already played their next contest, a 64-48 victory against Shafter on the 13th. As for Redwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-34 win against Garces Memorial on the 13th.
