Football Game Preview: Clarkson/Leigh Patriots vs. Madison Dragons

Clarkson/Leigh is a perfect 5-0 against Madison since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Patriots will face off against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Clarkson/Leigh will be strutting in after a win while Madison will be coming in after a defeat.

Clarkson/Leigh is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 52-12 victory over Twin River. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Clarkson/Leigh's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wyatt Crosley, who rushed for 114 yards and three TDs on only seven carries. That's the most rushing yards Crosley has posted since back in October of 2024. Tucker Matthies was another key back, rushing for 123 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 56-22 loss at the hands of Humphrey-Lindsay. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Clarkson/Leigh will have to contain Bodonn Sweeney as he made an impact in Madison's last game. He rushed for 112 yards, and also threw for 78 yards and three touchdowns. Izac Zautke was in the mix too, providing Madison with two TDs.

Clarkson/Leigh's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
