There's no place like home for the Kiski Area Cavaliers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against St. Joseph by a score of 44-35 on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Kiski Area, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
St. Joseph's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anna Kreinbrook, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Kreinbrook is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Julie Spinelli, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds.
Kiski Area now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Joseph, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-1.
Kiski Area will face off against Butler at TBD on Thursday. As for St. Joseph, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Serra Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Serra Catholic and St. Joseph are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
