Softball Recap: Marian Crusaders vs. North Platte Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Millard North, Marian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the North Platte Bulldogs a 12-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Crusaders considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Aubrey Mueting made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mueting was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Kincaid was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 games. Emily Berthelsen was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs.

Marian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Marian's win bumped their record up to 13-17. As for North Platte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-14.
Marian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Millard North at 1:00 p.m. The Mustangs are coming into the matchup with seven straight victories at home, so the Crusaders will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. North Platte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
