Baseball Recap: Groves Rebels vs. Jenkins Warriors
Groves had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-12 to make it eight. They lost 15-0 to the Jenkins Warriors. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 17-3 to the Warriors when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Jenkins, they moved to 10-13 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th (when they won 15-0).
For Jenkins' part, Charlie Stuart was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Stuart was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Jenkins got a big performance out of Pedro Fabian, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs Fabian has posted since back in February. Trenton Harrelson was another key player, earning one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Jenkins beat Groves by a score of 15-0 later that day.
