Mission Hills piles up the points against San Marcos

The Mission Hills Grizzlies stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 72-18 win over San Marcos. Given Mission Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while San Marcos is ranked 368th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mission Hills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maria Gorbushin, who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 3 assists. Mariah Brown was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with three steals.

Mission Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for San Marcos, they bumped their record down to 11-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
