Baseball Recap: John Milledge Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact John Milledge Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of Frederica Academy by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kolt McMichael spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, John Milledge Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lane Rhodes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
