Soccer Recap: El Cerrito's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After soaring to four goals the game before, El Cerrito was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Mary's Panthers. It was the first time this season that the Gauchos let down their fans at home.

Their goal came courtesy of Mikaela Green, who's now up to three this season.

El Cerrito's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3-2. As for Saint Mary's, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pinole Valley the next time they take the pitch. El Cerrito will head out to face Pinole Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Saint Mary's will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
