Softball Recap: Assumption Comes Up Short

Assumption's last matchup with Muscatine could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Knights came up short against the Muskies, falling 9-1. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Muskies: they've now lost five in a row.

Assumption's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11-1. As for Muscatine, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Muscatine beat Assumption by a score of 8-4 later that day.
