Softball Recap: Velma-Alma Takes a Loss

Velma-Alma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Pauls Valley Panthers.

Velma-Alma's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pauls Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Velma-Alma and Pauls Valley will both be playing Cordell the next time they take the field. The Comets will head out to face the Blue Devils at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
