Softball Recap: Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Wins Going Away Against Ponca

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder got themselves on the board against Ponca on Thursday, but Ponca never followed suit. They blew past the Indians 8-0. Considering Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has won eight games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Marah Fischer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 20 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Avah Ruwe and Arienne Summers did most of the damage at the plate: Ruwe went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Summers went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Ruwe is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ponca only managed two.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-7. As for Ponca, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

Coincidentally, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder and Ponca will both be playing Pierce the next time they take the field. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will head out to face Pierce at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Ponca will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
