Softball Recap: Sioux Central Sets Scoring Season-High Against East Sac County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sioux Central). They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the East Sac County Raiders on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Sioux Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Sac County, they dropped their record down to 9-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Sioux Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-9 win against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union on the 24th. As for East Sac County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Ar-We-Va on the 24th.
