North Platte barely beat Grand Island the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs never let the Islanders get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Katie Titus, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Grand Island off the board.

At the plate, North Platte got a big performance out of Aryadnna Reyna, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double was Reyna's first of the season. Tiffany Townsend was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.

North Platte hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grand Island struck out ten times.

The victory (which was North Platte's fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Grand Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

North Platte wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-3 loss against Lincoln East on the 27th. As for Grand Island, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-0 defeat against Norris on the 27th.
