Softball Recap: Stockbridge Comes Up Short

Stockbridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 22-1 to the Jones County Greyhounds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-9 back in August.

Stockbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Jones County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-4.

Coming up, Stockbridge will take on Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Jones County, they will face off against Ola at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
