Soccer Game Preview: Patterson vs. East Union

The Patterson Tigers will face off against the East Union Lancers at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

East Union will have to contend with a Patterson squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since December 12. Patterson came up short against Sierra on Wednesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Timberwolves are ranked 126th).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for East Union's offense. They lost 4-0 to Oakdale on Friday. Considering the last time the Lancers couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

East Union dropped their record down to 8-8-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Patterson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-4.
