Champlain Valley Union had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Rice Memorial Green Knights get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Friday. The Redhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Champlain Valley Union and bumps their season record up to 13-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Rice Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
