Basketball Recap: Richmond Comes Up Short

Richmond lost against St. Patrick-St. Vincent back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Richmond Oilers were beaten by the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins 63-29. While losing is never fun, the Oilers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1209th, while the Bruins are ranked 542nd).

Richmond dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they moved to 6-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Richmond will square off against Bethel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richmond is facing Bethel at the right time seeing as Bethel is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-29 win against International on the 11th.
