Basketball Recap: Brownsville Comes Up Short

After flying high against California last Tuesday, Brownsville came back down to earth. The Brownsville Falcons took a hard 68-49 fall against the Seton LaSalle Rebels on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now lost five in a row.

Brownsville's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Seton LaSalle, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brownsville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Keystone Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Seton LaSalle and Elizabeth Forward will round out the year against one another at on December 27th. One thing working in Seton LaSalle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
