Soccer Recap: Valdosta Comes Up Short

Valdosta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brooks County Trojans. Valdosta were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brooks County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Valdosta's record is now 1-14. As for Brooks County, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Coming up, Valdosta will venture away from home to square off against Berrien at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valdosta's defense better be ready for this one: Berrien have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season. Brooks County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
