Union has no trouble against Commodore Perry

The Union Knights/Damsels had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Commodore Perry with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 38-22. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Union has managed all season.

Union can attribute much of their success to Brianna Schmidt, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Schmidt also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Ava Strauser, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Union's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10. As for Commodore Perry, their defeat was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-12.

Union will take on Keystone at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Commodore Perry, they will head out on the road to face off against Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
