Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. Lotus School For Excellence

The Roosevelt Roughriders will head out to square off against the Lotus School For Excellence Meteors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roosevelt's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Roosevelt managed to keep up with Greeley Central until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Roughriders came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Roosevelt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Greeley Central are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, Lotus School For Excellence waltzed into their matchup on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 7-2 win. Considering Lotus School For Excellence have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit DMLK with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mikiyas Regassa (4), Erick Ochoa, Jae Raudales, and Luke Tenkorang.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Lotus School For Excellence, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
