Baseball Recap: Central Gwinnett Takes a Loss

Central Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Discovery Titans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-0 defeat last Wednesday.

Chase Graham made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Central Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Discovery, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Central Gwinnett and Discovery could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Central Gwinnett (ranked 310th) will meet Buford (ranked 18th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Central Gwinnett has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Similarly, Discovery will take on Mill Creek at 5:30 p.m. on March 17th down 122 places (236 vs. 114).
