Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette lost against Poquoson back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rams fell 3-1 to the Islanders.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 17-25, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Lafayette saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Laurel Bray had 30 assists and four aces. Bray is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Poquoson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lafayette is set to challenge their familiar foe Tabb at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Poquoson will face off against rival Bruton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
