Softball Recap: Fort Collins Has No Trouble Against Rocky Mountain

Fort Collins hadn't done well against Rocky Mountain recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lambkins blew past the Lobos 21-9. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Lambkins this season.

Elsie Prenni was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and four RBI. Cori Davis was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.

Fort Collins kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in September of 2024.

The Lobos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Wolves have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
