            Football Recap: Mitchell Bluejackets vs. Linton-Stockton Miners        
        
		
        
        
            Mitchell and Linton-Stockton squared off in some playoff action  on Friday, but Mitchell had to settle for second. They took a  blow against the Miners, falling  69-14. While losing is never fun, the Bluejackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Miners are ranked 90th).
 Mitchell's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Tyson Quinn, who rushed for 81 yards and one  TD on only 11 carries, and  Sven Lutchka, who picked up 112 receiving yards and one  touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 65 yards.
  Dalton Reed went supernova For Linton-Stockton., rushing for 116 yards and a pair of  scores on only five carries.  Ivan Montgomery did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84  receiving yards.
Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Linton-Stockton, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record  this season.
 Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Linton-Stockton, they will square off against Greencastle at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Miners will need to watch out since the Tiger Cubs have now posted at least 31  points  in their last three matchups.
