It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Springfield had no problem doing just that on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Upper Dublin Flying Cardinals. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won four contests in a row.

Springfield got a great performance from Nolan Dulski as he pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits.

At the plate, TJ Valletti was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Jake Lennon, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Springfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games.

Springfield's record is now 14-7. As for Upper Dublin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.
