Soccer Recap: Futures Falls Short Against Ranked Encina

Futures faced Encina in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs. The loss continues a trend for Futures in their meetings with Encina: they've now lost four in a row.

Futures' defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-2. As for Encina, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6-1.

As for Encina, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Leroy Greene Academy at 4:00 p.m. Leroy Greene Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Encina surely won't give up without a fight.
